Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University is one of the oldest pedagogical universities in Russia and was founded in 1911 as a teacher institution. In 1918 the university was organized into pedagogical institution. Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University is located in Nizhniy Novgorod city and has about 9000 students. The university was awarded as Red Labor Banner by the USSR Supreme Soviet Act for its achievements in training schoolteachers. The Institute was organized into Nizhny Novgorod State Pedagogical University in 1998. It’s about 80 years that the university trains specialists in Education and it is one of the leading universities of Russia in Education.
